In the first class Northeast there will be an exciting duel next Saturday, October 18th at 3:30 p.m. in the Sportpark Schönau: fourth-placed Schönau meets second-placed Königswiesen. This top game promises a lot of excitement not only for the fans of both teams, but also for the entire league. Table leader Lasberg will play against SPG Pregarten 1b on Sunday, October 19th, also at 3:30 p.m.

A wide program awaits football fans in the Freistadt district on the same weekend. In the 2nd North Center, the table leader SPG WKL welcomes the team from Reichenthal, while the other teams also compete against each other on the pitch. The overview of the upcoming games is as follows:

Königswiesen as winner of the Mühlviertler Alm Football Cup

The Union Königswiesen was recently crowned again as the winner of the 9th Mühlviertler Alm Football Cup, which took place on July 19, 2025 in the Schönau sports park. In a thrilling final, they beat SPG Weitersfelden-Kaltenberg-Liebenau 2-1. Königswiesen won the group in the preliminary round and was in top form throughout the tournament.

The successful conclusion of the tournament not only brought Union Königswiesen a winner's check for €1,000, but also the coveted challenge cup. The tournament, which was organized by the Mühlviertler Alm Association and the Schönau Union, also included a supporting program with a bouncy castle and a giant Wuzler tournament, which particularly attracted younger visitors.

Yannic Haslinger from Königswiesen was named top scorer of the tournament after leading his team to victory with two goals in the final. He was also able to shine in the preliminary round with a total of three goals. The next Mühlviertler Alm Football Cup will take place in Unterweißenbach in July 2026, so fans can already look forward to further exciting games and events.
