A senior couple on Beethovenstrasse has fallen victim to brazen fraudsters! Under the pretext of being an employee of an energy supplier reading the heating, a senior citizen let an unknown perpetrator into his apartment. While the pensioner unsuspectingly showed a meter in the bathroom, a second accomplice slipped into the apartment unnoticed and grabbed a cash box containing several thousand euros! The shock only came when the senior realized that his savings had fallen into the wrong hands.
Another incident on the same street shows the unscrupulous scam: an unknown perpetrator tried to break into the apartment of an elderly woman in order to also act as a heating meter reader. Luckily, the senior woman blocked the attempt by telling him that her husband would be coming home soon. The police sound the alarm and warn urgently about these brazen tricks, which are primarily aimed at older people!
