A scandalous incident occurred in Zittau on the evening of October 4th, 2025! A Polish car defiantly raced through the border checkpoint on Friedensstrasse and ignored the officers' instructions before it was finally stopped.
But that wasn't all - the driver didn't take kindly to the police officer and loudly insulted them. The federal police reacted immediately and filed a criminal complaint for insult. However, after the incident, the men were able to continue their journey. Further proof that nerves at the border are sometimes stretched to breaking point!
