Dramatic scenes at the Zittau border crossing! On July 19, 2025, the federal police came across several wanted men. At 2 p.m., a 28-year-old Moldovan arriving from Poland was arrested. He had already been convicted of driving without a license in 2024. But the man was lucky in misfortune: he paid the outstanding 681 euros on the spot and thus avoided a ten-day detention - even though he didn't yet have a driver's license!
But the arrests didn't stop! At 10:10 p.m. the officers noticed a 37-year-old Pole who also came from Poland. He was convicted of leaving the scene of an accident without permission last year. He was also able to pay his fine of 1,460 euros and thus escaped the impending prison sentence. Two wanted men, luck on their side twice – what an exciting day for the Federal Police!
