Large deployment in Leipzig: high-rise smoke through burned food!

On Saturday morning there was an extensive commitment of the fire brigade, emergency services and the police in the Leipzig district of Zentrum-Südost. This was triggered by a smoke in a high -rise building that was due to burned food on the upper floors. As reported [Blick.de] (https://www.blick.de/leipzig/grossetert- von-feuerwehr-und-Rettungsdienst-wegen-in-Hochhaus-article13980491), the firefighters went under breathing protection to localize the source of smoke. After removing the burned food, the residential property was fully ventilated.

At least two people were treated by the emergency services during the operation, but fortunately there were no injuries according to initial information. The assignment began in the early morning and required the cooperation between several firefighters from the professional fire brigade and the volunteer fire brigade. Several vehicles from the emergency services and two rescue helicopters were also on site as an emergency doctor.

Repeated missions in the high -rise

This incident is not the first in this skyscraper, such as lvz.de. An 83-year-old resident of the Langen Lene had triggered a similar assignment on Sunday before. This was the fourth fire service in this building in a short time. A fire alarm had alerted the emergency services at the time. The fire brigade arrived at the plate building building on Lene-Voigt-Straße around 3:30 p.m.

The elderly was examined on an outpatient basis due to the strong smoke development in her apartment, but was not injured. Fortunately, there was no further damage, except for the senior meal. Nevertheless, the repeated fires left negative consequences for the residents of the high -rise. In the past few weeks there have also been several fire brigade operations in the basement of the building, which led to days of water and power failure for the residents.

The series of unsightly incidents shows how important early warning systems are in residential buildings. The fire brigade and emergency services are ready to react quickly and efficiently to such incidents, but the causes of the frequent missions should be clarified.
