Future outlook and memories: FFW Schönau celebrates its annual general meeting

On June 11, 2025, the annual general meeting of the Schönau Volunteer Fire Department took place in the Schloßschützen Schönau clubhouse in the Wührfeld sports center. Numerous members were present to celebrate the appointment of new members and the honoring of long-time activists. Board member Peter Hofer opened the meeting and welcomed the guests of honor, including Mayor Robert Putz and district fire chief Ludwig Deingruber. Particular attention was paid to the memory of the deceased members of the fire department, in particular Alois Steinbrunner, Dieter Keneder and Tanja Zellner.

As part of the meeting, Peter Hofer looked back on the past year and presented the plans for the fire department's future tasks. These annual meetings are important not only for documenting the activities, but also for the greater involvement of the community in club life.

Honors and retrospectives

The event offers an excellent platform to honor the achievements of the fire department. Among those present were honorary members who were honored for their commitment. The Schönau Fire Department is known for its active role in village life, which was illustrated by a photo show dedicated to its members and their community activities. This presentation was not only a look back at past operations, but also a tribute to the close connection to the village community.

The update of the club's statutes was also unanimously approved, which is seen as an important step for the further development of the club. Mayor Putz and district fire chief Deingruber expressed their gratitude for the good cooperation and the valuable contributions of the fire department, which benefit the population. The funds gained from the fire department's activities will continue to be used for the community, which was expressly praised by district fire chief Martin Holler. He described the Schönau fire department as a very active force and emphasized that he would like this activity to continue in the future.

In summary, the annual general meeting of the Schönau Volunteer Fire Department not only represents a review of past activities, but also an outlook on future cooperation and commitment to serving the community.
