Vincenzo Richter: Chemnitz Identitarian Movement plans large trendy actions

In Chemnitz, a new stronghold of the Identitarian Movement (IB) has formed, under the direction of the only 26-year-old Vincenzo Richter. The founder and chairman of the Chemnitz IB, born on April 10, 1999, is not only active in his hometown, but is also studying communication psychology at the IU International University in online format. The IB founded its local group in Chemnitz and the first meetings took place in Richter's own apartment.

Richter's parents are also very involved in the activities of the IB. His mother, Beate Porsche, was a member of the first telegram group of the Chemnitz IB. From these family basics, judges and his colleagues organized various painting campaigns and demonstrations, some of which took place in the companies of the parents. A special project was the support of a memorial stone for the bombing of Dresden by one of the parental companies.

new premises and activities

The Identitarian Movement recently acquired premises in Chemnitz, in the Schönau district, in Edisonstrasse. Flags of the IB and Germany are already hanging on the walls of the new location. At the end of November, a new Telegram channel was launched, which returns a “Center for Counter Culture and Activism”. Events such as regulars' tables, book presentations and bar evenings are planned there, which are intended to further strengthen the activities of the movement. With this step, the IB wants to intensify its presence and networking not only locally, but also nationally.

The acquisition of these premises did not come without a stir: The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution received the purchase in early 2023, but only recognized the exact purpose of the property in October. It is believed that the IB wants to use the new premises not only for meetings, but also for concerts. One of the investors behind this project includes an entrepreneurial company, which is led by Vincenzo Richter and Philip T. The IB also receives support from the real estate company Schanze one who wants to specifically win investors to acquire further properties.

resistance and setbacks

While the identity movement gains a foothold in Chemnitz, you can look back on the action in Halle on the Saale, where setbacks have been experienced. There the IB had to sell a town house after violent resistance occurred. This shows that also in Chemnitz with active resistance from the city society and committed activists who want to fight against the extremist efforts.

The development of the identity movement in Chemnitz goes hand in hand with the rise of Vincenzo Richter, who was appointed chairman of IB Germany on April 22, 2024. His work is characterized by a variety of activities, including anti-corona demonstrations with its own banners and the organization of the IB 2024 summer camp in the Ore Mountains. The movement has made a name for itself in the past through staged demonstrations and national slogans. Richter recently appeared as a speaker at the demo of the Free Saxons for the opening of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz on January 18, 2025 and thus uses every opportunity to propagate the ideals of the IB.
