Colorful, loud and full of fun: Mini-Cup delights Leipzig's fans!

On June 6, 2025, the varied LVZ Mini-Cup took place in the Alfred-Kunze-Sportpark in Leipzig, which brought together numerous children's teams from different countries. Teams from Spain, Turkey and Senegal fought for victory, while the fans who traveled along presented themselves in colorful outfits that matched the teams. This event was a true celebration of diversity and color.

Gregor, who was part of the parent fan group for the Dutch team TuS Leutzsch 1990, emphasized the fun and joy that the tournament brought. Particularly noticeable was the group of fans from the Netherlands who brought a mobile home made out of cardboard as a creative substitute bench. Their colorful presence was recognized with the fan award at the end of the tournament.

Colorful costumes and a happy atmosphere

The atmosphere was one of unbridled enthusiasm. Papa Jens supports SV Tresenwald Machern 1 in an impressive costume that represented Japan. Mama Anke and Gregor also ensured a great atmosphere; They wore vibrant sombreros, ponchos and wigs to celebrate the colors of Mexico and the Netherlands. Argentina fan Daniel, who was cheering on SV Blau-Weiß Bennewitz, set acoustic accents with his drums and received support from other enthusiastic fans.

Jens, who appeared in a Japanese outfit and was highlighted as one of the best-costumed participants in the tournament, did not go unnoticed. Anke from BSG Chemie Leipzig 1 also reported that they had organized fan kits with T-shirts and hats for the parents to further strengthen the team feeling. A mascot named “Löwi” rounded off the fan group dynamic and was supposed to ensure happiness.

This event has established itself not only as a sporting event, but also as a platform that promotes community and joy among participants and spectators. The LVZ Mini-Cup has once again proven that football and entertainment go hand in hand.
