The autumn fair in the Holzhausen district, which takes place this year from September 19 to September 22, 2025, transforms Sutthauser Straße into a colorful festival area. This traditional event, which is estimated by many residents and visitors, offers an extensive program with attractions for all age groups. Today, on September 21, there is a lot of trouble, and pedestrians can stroll unhindered on a 300 -meter -long section of the road until Monday.
The fun fair begins between the grill station and the Rhodes restaurant and is accompanied by numerous attractions. There is something for everyone with a wheel of fortune, a trampoline and a Kasperletheater. The live music, which the cover band "Your Decade" is presented on on Saturday evening, is particularly attractive. The band brings rock music from different decades to the stage - from the 70s to the 00s, so that visitors of all ages get their money's worth.
Program and highlights
The official opening of the fun fair will take place on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. by Mayor Dagmar Bahlo. A balloon competition as well as performances by the choir of the Antonius School and dance groups of the BSV-Holzhausen complete the program. A special offer will be made available for the little visitors on Saturday and Sunday, including a ninja-race course, archery and creative games at the field smithy. This not only attracts the residents of Holzhausen, but also many visitors from surrounding places such as Oesede and Hagen.
On Saturday evening, singing along party songs becomes a highlight, in which the texts are provided for reading. The fair Sunday starts with a traditional ecumenical service at 10 a.m., followed by a sporty and creative family program. A special highlight is the family day on the last day of the fair, on which price reductions are offered on the booths and rides from 2 p.m.
Security and traffic
Important measures were taken with regard to security. The need for the needs between the pharmacy and Monastery Ohrbeck is eliminated throughout the fun fair.
