Fire brigade Holzhausen: Urgent new hall planned for missions!

Holzhausen, Deutschland - The municipality of Holzhausen is faced with an important step to improve the fire brigade infrastructure. The fire brigade Holzhausen urgently needs new accommodation, since the currently used fire engineering building has large defects and the current security requirements no longer meets. In order to fulfill the diverse requirements in the best possible way, a temporary solution on the sports field area is sought, which is to be realized this year. According to HNA, a planned vehicle hall is in conversation.

The administration has already announced that three offers for halls to be obtained to check whether a hall can be rented or leased. A building application for the transitional hall should nevertheless be submitted, the cost estimate is around 380,000 euros. The locations in the citizens' meeting were discussed in residents, in particular the hall near the former athlete home at the car park of access over Berliner Strasse. The opportunity to rebuild the hall at another location was also discussed if it was bought.

bureaucratic hurdles and time pressure

In the city council, concerns about the time delays and the choice of location were loud. Some city councilors emphasized the urgency, especially when it comes to operations on the highway that are of crucial importance for the safety of citizens. It has become clear that the fire brigade must be equipped with functional and appropriate accommodation as quickly as possible in order to guarantee operational capacity.

Another project that is important for Holzhausen is the construction of a common fire station that is planned by the city of Bad Pyrmont and the Holzhausen fire brigade. At 12.10.2023 , the construction decision for the fire station at the "Gondelteich" location was taken. According to City of Bad Pyrmont, the project can look back on a Europe-wide tender, in which Goldbeck Nord GmbH was selected as the most economic provider.
The total costs for this project amount to around 13.259 million euros.

The planning and construction of the neighboring public parking facilities are also part of the order. The construction progress is made understandable for citizens via a webcam to ensure transparency about the progress of the project. The completion of the new fire station is planned for the summer of 2025. Thus, through these initiatives, the fire brigade Holzhausen not only receives a temporary solution, but also a contemporary and functional accommodation that meets the requirements of modern security.
