Christoph Knaus is leaving the club after almost two years, but will remain in office until the winter break. Wals-Grünau received a starting ticket for the ÖFB Cup, which is a certain success. Knaus announced his departure to take on a new professional challenge, which is also the reason for the upcoming coaching change, as Salzburg24 reports.

Wals-Grünau is now looking for a new coach. Chairman Norbert Bauer commissioned Helmut Rottensteiner to search for a coach. Bauer said it was a challenge to find a new coach during the season who fits the team and is accepted by players. The next challenge for Wals-Grünau is a home game against Hohenems, which could be crucial for the team to finally get another win.
Compared to Wals-Grünau, FC Seekirchen is showing positive development. Seekirchen won 3-1 against Reichenau on Saturday after initially chasing a 0-1 deficit. Coach Mario Lapkalo noted that his team dominated the game and was lucky with a shot on the pole. Seekirchen is currently only one point behind Wacker Innsbruck, the league leaders. Nearly 400 visiting fans are expected at the game against Kuchl, which should further heat up the atmosphere in this important match.
