Grünau/Pettenbach 1b clears important points against Zell/Pettenfirst!
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the teams of SV Zell/Pettenfirst and the 1B team of Grünau/Pettenbach in Unach met in the 2nd class south (Upper Austria). The game ended with a narrow but deserved victory for the guests who kept the upper hand 2-1. The great star of the game was Timo Kührer, who scored both goals for Grünau/Pettenbach.
The encounter initially started without goals. The first half showed a balanced style of play in which both teams were able to work out some opportunities. While Zell/Pettenfirst acted aggressively, the defense of Grünau/Pettenbach was a solid defensive unit that did not allow a hit. However, this should change in the second half.
Exciting second half
In the 60th minute, Timo Kührer took care of the guests after a nice move, which effectively took Grünau/Pettenbach in the lead. Shortly afterwards, in the 69th minute, Sebastian Kaiser managed to equalize for Zell/Pettenfirst. But the joy over the equalization only lasted for a short time: Kührer brought his team again in the 85th minute and thus sealed the final score of 2: 1. In the last minutes of the game, both teams increased the intensity, but could not score any further hits.
This victory was particularly important for Grünau/Pettenbach after a previous defeat. Assistant coach Christian Pramhas was positive about the return of his team and the performance shown, which was crucial for the three points.
A look at the previous games shows that SV Zell/Pettenfirst has shown throughout the last encounters. For example, there was a low-chance appearance against SV Schildorn, where despite superiority in the second half and a yellow-red card for the opponent, there was no victory. Here the Zeller keeper Philip Riepl was able to build on the good performances by only having to accept a few goal and thwarted the opponent's chances.
The fans remember that the teams fought for every ball again today, even if the resulting intensity ultimately did not provide further goals. The SV Zell/Pettenfirst now has to work on its shape in order to be able to perform more stable in future games, while Grünau/Pettenbach gets new updates in the fight for top positions.
