Merlin Hummel, a talented hammer thrower from Kulmbach, took fourth place during the election for “Ace of the Month June 2025” by the German Athletics Association (DLV). Hummel received 18.2 percent of the votes cast via social media Facebook and Instagram. This election was part of an exciting month for athletics that produced numerous best performances and records.
The race for the title was won by triple jumper Caroline Joyeux (LG Nord Berlin), who received the highest share of votes with 33.3 percent thanks to her impressive performance at the European Team Championships, where she reached a distance of 14.42 meters and a new personal record of 14.45 meters.
