Black Sea Dahu: New music and moving tour 2026!

Swiss indie folk band Black Sea Dahu will release their highly anticipated album on February 20, 2026 titled“Everything”publish. The album's first single, "Ruth", has already been celebrated as Song of the Day at Sounds & Books. This composition describes a pigeon found, injured and soon deceased on tour and reflects the deep themes of life and self-discovery addressed by songwriter Janine Cathrein.

“Ruth” is a delicate, hypnotic, jazzy indie-folk piece that is both vulnerable and appealing. Cathrein uses the song to reflect on the values in life and combines personal experiences with artistic musicality. In addition, the album's first single, "One Day Will Be All I Have", is released, which is a tribute to Cathrein's late father, who died three years ago, and is embodied in a tender, honest sound. Produced by Gavin Gardiner and supported by the quartet Amour sur Mars, this single is presented as a personal memoir in musical form.
