In a dramatic turn of events, a 39-year-old Hungarian man was arrested at the Breitenau border crossing on the morning of October 21, 2025. During a routine immigration check by the federal police, it emerged that there was an international arrest warrant against the man. He is accused of committing serious sexual offenses, which earned him a stay behind Swedish curtains.
After his arrest at the Pirna District Court, the suspect was immediately taken to the Dresden Correctional Facility. There he is now waiting to be extradited to Hungary, where he will have to stand trial. Further proof that the effectiveness of border controls remains ongoing!
