Sleeping drunk on the train: Police seize stolen credit card!

In the early morning hours of November 15, 2025, around 12:55 a.m., the federal police were alerted at Chemnitz main station. A train driver from the Mitteldeutsche Regionalbahn reported a person sleeping on the train and asked for assistance. The patrol immediately made its way to Glösaer Straße, where they discovered a 28-year-old Russian national who was obviously very drunk.

A breath alcohol test showed an alarming 1.86 per mille. When the man was searched, the police found a credit card that was not made out to him, which raised suspicions of embezzlement. The credit card was seized and the suspect was taken to the police station for further investigation.
