A 31-year-old Moroccan experienced an unexpected turn of events this morning at Leipzig Central Station: smoking became his downfall! While he was happily smoking a cigarette, the federal police intervened and caught him in the act. Instead of the relief he had hoped for, there was a 20 euro fine, which he did not want to pay.
The officers then checked his personal details and arrested him! The man is now facing misdemeanor proceedings for violating the Federal Non-Smoker Protection Act. A hard day for someone who just wanted to smoke!
