An arrest warrant for a 47-year-old Pole was revoked, almost exactly three years after it was issued by the Essen public prosecutor's office. The reason? Two companions of the convicted man paid the fine of 1,500 euros due for a particularly serious case of theft, which enabled the arrest warrant to be deleted.
The men were checked shortly after midnight today at a motorway checkpoint on the BAB4 near Görlitz when the positive news about the outcome of the punishment became known. A sigh of relief for the man who, thanks to the support of his friends, can now live without the burden of the arrest warrant!
