On the sidelines of the football game between 1. FC LOK Leipzig and BSG Chemie Leipzig there was a serious argument between the fans of both camps. Around 6:00 p.m., around 240 BSG supporters stormed the Leipzig MDR stop and attacked LOK fans sitting in the S-Bahn car, stealing their fan equipment.
The federal police had to intervene and allowed the S-Bahn to travel to Leipzig main station without any further stops, where the fans were subjected to thorough checks. As a result, several criminal proceedings were initiated, including for robbery, breach of the peace and grievous bodily harm. The situation once again shows the explosive fan hostility in German football!
