On the night of July 21, 2025, at 12:05 a.m., the federal police checked a car at the border crossing on Zittau Friedensstrasse that had just arrived from Poland. During the check, a 16-year-old Czech boy was discovered who was heavily intoxicated and had a forbidden brass knuckles hidden in his neck pouch.

The young man stated that he had the dangerous tool for self-defense. Since it was a clear violation of the weapons law, the brass knuckles were confiscated and a criminal complaint was filed against him.
