Current traffic changes affect the A38 motorway and the A17 significantly in the coming days. Autobahn GmbH of the federal government has announced measures to maintain and improve security, which will cut off important routes and redirect traffic. From October 6 to 10, 2025, the lanes are temporarily reduced on the A38 motorway towards Göttingen. This measure affects the section between the Leipzig-Süd motorway junction and the "Fuchsaue" rest area. During the day, the overtaking lane is closed to channel work, which redirects the traffic to the remaining track. Closures on the A17
In addition to the measures on the A38, important closures are also provided on the A17.
