At around 2:35 p.m., a senior citizen fell on the way to the bus. A 35-year-old man rushed to her aid, carelessly leaving his own bag behind.
While he was standing by the elderly woman, a 30-year-old German took the opportunity to steal the helpful man's bag. The victim immediately noticed the theft and spoke to the perpetrator, which led to a brief scuffle between the two men. Despite the altercation, the 35-year-old was able to get his bag back, but his wallet had already been taken.
Arrest of the suspect
The stolen wallet was later found not far from the crime scene. By chance, employees of the public order office were nearby and observed the situation. Their quick reaction meant that they were able to give the police crucial information about the identity of the suspect. They determined the 30-year-old's home address and found him at home. The accused was taken to the police station but was released after a short time.
