Silver for Martin Riegler: Upper Austria celebrates Euroskills success!

The European Skills Championships, known as “Euroskills”, took place from September 11th to 13th, 2023 in Herning, Denmark. Over 600 young talents from all over Europe gathered there to demonstrate their skills in various professions. Upper Austria's team achieved remarkable results in this competition: two gold medals, two silver medals, one bronze medal and seven Medallions for Excellence. These successes reflect the high level and commitment of the participants.

Martin Riegler from Schönau im Mühlkreis achieved a particularly outstanding result, winning the silver medal in the system electrical discipline. Riegler, who is completing a double apprenticeship as a plant electrical engineer and process control engineer at Voestalpine in Linz, demonstrated his outstanding talent. He was also already runner-up in 2023, which underlines his qualifications and skills. Sarah Klinger, baker at the Stöcher organic bakery in Bad Zell, also distinguished herself in Denmark and received a Medallion for Excellence.

The performances of the Upper Austrians were particularly impressive. In addition to Riegler's silver medal, the team can look back on the following honors:
