Thieves strike: two excavator shovels stolen from Bad Salzuflen!
A brazen theft occurred at a construction site in Bad Salzuflen-Holzhausen. Unknown perpetrators stole two excavator shovels between Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning last week. The shovels had previously been secured under the blade of an excavator on Nienheider Weg. The concerned Criminal Investigation Department 2 assumes that the thieves used a vehicle to transport the heavy machinery. A similar incident occurred in the region a few months earlier. On March 25, 2024, an Epiroc SB 202 hydraulic hammer and an Atlas Copco SB 302 chisel were stolen from a construction site on Lockhauser Strasse between 4 p.m. and 12:15 p.m. the following day. The perpetrators forcibly opened the construction site fence, which suggests that they specifically specialized in stealing heavy equipment. Here too, the devices must have been transported away in a vehicle. Police are again calling on witnesses to come forward if they have observed suspicious people or vehicles near the construction site.
