A 40-year-old Pole was arrested on Tuesday on the federal highway 4 in Görlitz during a newly established entry control. The man, who was a passenger in a van with a Polish registration, was examined more closely by the officers. It turned out that he was wanted by the Augsburg public prosecutor's office because of the use of license plates of unconstitutional and terrorist organizations.
The fine imposed amounts to a whopping 1,472 euros - a sum that the convicted person was unable to pay. Now he has to serve the consequences of his actions in prison in the form of a substitute prison sentence. The federal police remain on the lookout for further violations.
