Teenager in Chemnitz: Caught with stolen goods at the main train station!
At Chemnitz main station last Friday, a 16-year-old Algerian man was checked by federal police while he was sitting on the cross platform smoking. When checking his personal details, the officers discovered an advertisement from the Leipzig public prosecutor's office for theft. They then searched his belongings and found several newly packaged products - including a hair straightener, perfume and jeans - with a total value of around 300 euros, all stuffed into a shopping bag prepared for theft. The teenager could not show any proof of purchase.
The seized items led to a criminal complaint being filed for theft. However, after completing the necessary procedural measures, the 16-year-old was released again.
