Police strike: 26-year-old arrested in Görlitz on arrest warrants

In a spectacular arrest on Saturday morning, federal police caught a 26-year-old Pole across the city bridge from Zgorzelec to Görlitz. This happened as part of a search, during which the officers discovered two wanted notices. These noted warrants were issued by the Augsburg public prosecutor's office at the beginning of August.

The reason for the arrest warrants? The young man ignored two earlier judgments from the Augsburg district court. He had not responded to a penalty order from February 2022, which earned him a fine of 840 euros for driving without a license, and another judgment from June 2023, which earned him 4,345 euros for drunk driving. Now he has to face the consequences!
