On October 13, 2025 at 7:30 p.m., an explosive incident occurred at the Breitenau border crossing when a 20-year-old Moldovan appeared for a border police check. During the check, the federal police discovered an arrest warrant from the Bayreuth public prosecutor's office - for drunk driving!
The consequences were drastic: either a 45-day prison sentence or a hefty fine of 4,762.60 euros. But the young man was unable to pay! The result? A direct arrest and immediate delivery to the Dresden JVA. Another chapter in the problem of road safety - and with serious consequences for the young man!
