On Monday evening, October 20, 2025, a dramatic scenario unfolded at Dresden-Neustadt train station: a 25-year-old man threatened passers-by with a knife! At around 9:15 p.m., federal police officers heard screams and rushed to help, where they met alerted DB Security employees and several men. But when officers arrived, a suspect fled.

The investigation quickly led to the alcoholic perpetrator, an Afghan citizen who had previously attacked a 49-year-old German with a knife. It turns out the man was already known to the police and was clearly not just fighting against his living conditions.
