On Sunday evening it crashed at the central stop at Leipzig main station: two trams collided head -on! A 54-year-old driver was on the way to the east by train when a switch was not changed properly. Instead of turning into Goethestrasse, the train raced straight ahead - with catastrophic episodes!

The collision happened when an oncoming path that ran towards the central stop met the unfortunate tram. Two women, 27 and 69 years old, suffered minor injuries and had to be treated outpatient on site. Fortunately, they were able to leave medical care quickly. The property damage is estimated at a whopping 200,000 euros. The police have received the investigation into negligent bodily harm. A dramatic evening in Leipzig!
