False papers and debts: Italian caught at border control!

As part of increased border controls, the federal police stopped a Czech car in Sohland on October 17, 2025. While the passengers, a driver and a passenger, were allowed to continue traveling without any problems, the 48-year-old Italian woman was stopped in the back seat. During the check, it turned out that the woman had an arrest warrant from the Stralsund public prosecutor's office for embezzlement - a fine of 1,581 euros was still outstanding.

But that wasn't all! When the woman was searched, the officers discovered fake documents: an Italian identity card and a driver's license with counterfeit features. These were immediately seized and the woman received a report. After these developments, however, she was able to leave the office again. An exciting day for the Federal Police!
