Driver of a truck from the Czech Republic taken into custody for forgery
On October 15, 2025 at 8:30 p.m., the federal police checked a Czech truck on the S 148 near Neugersdorf. The driver was able to identify himself with a valid Czech identity card. But the routine check quickly turned out to be explosive: A look at the database revealed that the man had been sentenced to a fine of 40 daily rates by the Marienberg District Court in 2022 for falsifying data relevant to evidence.
The investigation revealed that 1,000 euros of the original amount, including costs, were still outstanding. Due to this outstanding sum, the driver was wanted by the Chemnitz public prosecutor's office with an arrest warrant. A traffic stop that has serious consequences!
