On November 25, 2025, at 3:46 p.m., a fire broke out in an apartment building on Elsterwerdaer Straße in Prohlis. The fire brigade, supported by emergency services and the police, quickly rushed to the scene to help the residents. About ten people were medically examined, but fortunately there were no injuries reported.
The courageous emergency services fought quickly against the flames. While some firefighters made their way into the building using breathing apparatus, the fire was fought from the outside using a turntable ladder. Thanks to the quick intervention of the fire brigade, the fire was quickly extinguished. Extinguishing work and comprehensive ventilation measures are currently underway to avoid further danger.
