Dresden burns: Fire brigade is fighting several garbage can fires!
The Dresden fire brigade was used several times in the night of October 1, 2025 to extinguish several burning waste containers in the urban area. Three garbage cans were on fire, while another fire was deleted at a paper bin. There were no damage to buildings.

In the night of October 1, 2025, there were several burning waste containers in Dresden, which the fire brigade put on alert. Between 03:02 and 5:19 a.m., Metzer Straße and St. Petersburger Straße were particularly dramatic missions. On the corner of Metzer Straße/Hauptstraße, three 240-liter waste bins blazed, which were quickly deleted with a jet tube. A neighbor found that a street lamp was also affected, but fortunately there was no danger to surrounding buildings.
In addition, a paper bin burned at the address of St. Petersburger Straße 24 at 04:55 a.m., where the fire brigade was able to quickly intervene. With a thermal imaging camera, the embers were then checked to prevent again. The Dresden emergency services were on the highest alert in order to contain the flames and avert potential dangers.
