On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday there was a shocking incident in the west of Leipzig: unknown people set several vehicles on fire! A car on Beipertstrasse was completely destroyed, while two other cars in a parking lot on Antonienstrasse suffered serious damage. Despite the rapid intervention of the fire brigade, only ashes remained for one of the vehicles. The police have already started an investigation into intentional arson and are checking possible connections to previous fire cases.
The crime scenes are all in close proximity to one another, and the extent of the damage caused is still unclear. Witnesses who observed anything suspicious on the night of June 17th to 18th or early Wednesday morning are urged to contact the criminal police.
