Parents save now: new contributions to childcare!

In Saxony there are current news for families who hope for financial discharge. From July 1, 2025, new regulations come into force, which in particular should support parents in day care centers and similar forms of care. These measures could make everyday life considerably easier for many families.

One of the most important changes concerns the discounts for parents with several children in day care centers and day care centers. The parental contribution is significantly reduced thanks to a staggering: For the second counting child, only 60% of the unabridged contribution must be paid. That is noticeably less and could be a very good business for many families.

discounts for single parents

Especially single parents can look forward to significant financial relief. For the first counting child, they only pay 90% of the regular amount and even only 50% for the second counting child. From the third counting child, the contribution is completely eliminated. This regulation will enable many single parents to provide their children without any problems without having to worry about endless costs.

But that's not all: parents who receive social benefits or their income is low, have the option of submitting an application for a reduction or even decree of the parents' contribution. This also applies to families who receive unemployment benefit II, social assistance or housing benefit. This relief is valuable support in everyday family life.

non -contributory kindergarten years

Another important point: The last two kindergarten years before schooling are usually free of contributions. This means that children who reach until September 30th of their fourth year can go to kindergarten free of charge from the beginning of the corresponding kindergarten year. Often this is a great relief for parents who are especially in the transition phase from the toddler at school.

The parental contribution is determined by the local public youth welfare institution, whereby parents can make special applications in the event of financial bottlenecks in order to examine possible decree options. These regulations are not only relevant in Saxony; In other federal states, such as in North Rhine-Westphalia, the youth welfare offices also offer similar support options to minimize the financial burden on families. In North Rhine -Westphalia, the exemption from parental contributions is subject to additional guidelines, which also describe the requirements for the application in detail.

state support for families

The grid of financial support for families is complex in Germany. The family portal offers a comprehensive overview of state aid that can support families in different situations. This includes not only child benefit and parental allowance, but also tax reliefs and maintenance advances, which are a considerable support, especially for single parents.

With these measures in the Saxon country in the back, it will be easier for many families to bring work and family under one roof and at the same time ensure the care of their children. So everyday life is relieved a bit and life is a bit easier for parents and children.
