The Leipzig police recently successfully completed the search for a suspect in a serious violent crime that took place on Sunday morning, January 19th, around 5:25 a.m. on Plovdiver Street in the Grünau-Nord district. The wanted man reported himself to the officers after he was brought into the public eye. During the incident, a man was attacked by four unknown assailants and suffered serious injuries. He had to spend several days in the hospital. The police have started an investigation into grievous bodily harm and are now looking for other witnesses to the incident. In the districts of Mölkau and Anger-Crottendorf, two attacks were carried out within a short period of time on the evening of July 10th. At 8:45 p.m., a 23-year-old man was attacked with a striking tool by three unknown perpetrators in Stünzer Park. This attack also resulted in the victim having to be taken to hospital with injuries. Just half an hour later, at 9:25 p.m., an 18-year-old boy was attacked on Uhlandweg by three masked men, using gas to take a bag from him. Investigations and descriptions of the perpetrators

The criminal police have started investigations into grievous bodily harm and aggravated robbery in both cases. Due to the proximity in time and location of the two crimes, it is assumed that they may be the same perpetrators. The perpetrators were described as male, dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas.
