Leipzig's organ academy 2025: Master class with international stars!
Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig, Deutschland - The IX. European organ academy will take place this year from July 16 to August 10, 2025 at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig. Since its foundation in 2007, the academy has not only offered a large number of top -class concerts, but also master classes for prospective organists. Prof. Dr. Martin Schmeding took over after Prof. Stefan Engels held this post until 2015.
As part of the academy, the participants are taught in significant organs in Leipzig, including the owl organ in the large hall of the HMT and the collon organ in the chamber music hall. In addition, lessons take place in historical churches in the region.

The European Organ Academy has set itself the goal of bringing various register combinations closer to the students, various organ building styles and different interpretation. The program includes master classes, public concerts and lectures that take place in various places in Leipzig and the surrounding area.
