A 76-year-old woman from Leipzig-Zentrum Süd has become the victim of a brazen fraud in which criminals posed as police officers. The attackers pretended that an alleged police officer was coming to secure the woman's valuables. This shocking act is the third confirmed case of fraud by fake police officers in Leipzig in the last two weeks. In at least seven further attempts, the fraudsters were unable to achieve the desired success because those called broke off the calls and informed the police.
