Summer fun in Leipzig: flea market and exciting summer theater!
In July 2025, Leipzig's southern suburbs can expect a colorful program of events on the courtyard of the Kunst- und Gewerbegenossenschaft Feinkost eG. In addition to a diverse flea market, the delicatessen summer theater with its motto “Cheesy, compact and crisp” invites you to an exciting cultural offering.
The flea market will take place on July 5th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and entry is free. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of clothes, records, books, toys as well as a selection of food and drinks. This event is a great opportunity to make interesting finds and browse in a relaxed atmosphere.
Diverse theater offering
The delicatessen summer theater has been an integral part of cultural life in Leipzig since 2010. The performances take place on weekends and offer a unique atmosphere, pleasantly protected from rain and heat by the covered courtyard of the deli. The performances start at 7 p.m. and last a maximum of 75 minutes. For younger viewers there is children's summer theater every Sunday at 11 a.m.[leipzig-im.de]
A highlight is the premiere of theaterLIPSIA with “Columbo: When Called – Murder!” on July 5th. Further performances include il comico with “The Little Prince” on July 12th and theaterLIPSIA with “Vampires Like Us” on July 28th. Tickets are available in advance at Serifee Children's Bookstore and Culton. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office and online. Prices vary between €6 for the children's summer theater and €14 for adults.
Comedy and summer cinema
Another highlight this July weekend is the Karli Comedy – Open Air Comedy Show on July 4th, which starts at 8 p.m. Ticket prices are €22 in advance, €17 reduced and €25 at the door.
At the end of the evenings, you can visit the summer cinema on site, where arthouse films, documentaries and films in original versions are shown. These film screenings start at 9:30 p.m., doors open at 9 p.m. Ticket prices for the film screenings are €9 and €8 reduced.
