New Corona rules: Leipzig beautician cheers for repayment flexibility!

Südvorstadt, Deutschland - On July 10, 2025, Beate Hertes, owner of the cosmetic salon "Bennissimo" in Leipzig, was delighted with a significant announcement from the Saxon state government. Sachsen's Economic Minister Dirk Panter (SPD) informed that the repayment rules for Corona's Sleofilfe are simplified, which should offer many entrepreneurs, especially in the industry-related services, planning security and clarity. This modulation aims to counteract the already tense economic conditions and to create a necessary relief.

The new regulations are a direct result of the financial needs that many companies are faced with. Hertes previously expressed concern about the repayment of her Corona Sleepfort aid in the amount of 13,500 euros. After talks with Minister Panter, many entrepreneurs are now optimistic that the adapted modalities will enable the repayments to be more easily handled.

new repayment modalities

As part of the new regulations, the repayments are made on a period. The deadline for the repayment of the Corona Sleofilfe is extended or can be completely canceled under certain conditions. According to Minister Panter, the service recipients receive an interest -free repayment period of six months according to which they can choose between different repayment periods:

  • 12 months - fixed interest rate 0.5 %
  • 24 months - fixed interest rate 1.0 %
  • 36 months - fixed interest rate 1.5 %

Variable installment payments within the selected payment period are possible. In addition, a hard -related sole proprietor protects a hardship regulation from the financial consequences.

reactions from the economy

The new repayment modalities were welcomed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) and the Chamber of Crafts in Leipzig. IHK President Kristian Kirpal praised the efforts of the Free State, but emphasized that improvements were still necessary. Volker Lux, managing director of the Chamber of Crafts, made it clear that entrepreneurs have to do more self -provision in the current economic situation.

Beate Hertes expressed that she would like to leave her private pension and want to go on vacation next year. This shows how important it is that there is planning security in the cosmetic industry in order to take the necessary steps to stabilize companies.

background and outlook

The adjustments to the repayment modalities are part of a more comprehensive strategy to support the Saxon economy, which was relieved during pandemic by various subsidy programs. A total of around 209,000 applications in the different programs were made in Saxony. The federal government supports the Saxon companies with around 2.9 billion euros, while the Free State provided 752 million euros.

Currently there are a variety of reclaims that still stand. According to a latest report, 49,257 recovery processes have been completed, and 27,586 are currently being processed. Another 29,000 reclaims will be expected in the next few months. For many companies, it will be crucial how they can perceive and implement the new regulations. The Saxon Building Bank (SAB) offers comprehensive information on the new repayment conditions, which also set up a hotline for affected entrepreneurs in order to be able to react quickly to open questions.

The new regulations could be a decisive turn to stabilize the entrepreneurial situation for many in Saxony. The LVZ reports on the positive reaction and the advantages for companies such as the cosmetic salon Beate Hertes. Also the Smwa emphasizes the meaning of the regulations.
