Schönau, Deutschland - The city of Zell in the Wiesental is preparing for an important event: From 18 to July 21, 2025, the 750th anniversary of the city is celebrated. The ceremony promises a varied program for young and old. Mayor Peter Palme, together with the city administration, invites you to celebrate this special event.

The official opening of the anniversary festival takes place on July 19 at 6 p.m. on the town hall and Sparkassenplatz. In this ceremony, Mayor Peter Palme will carry out the traditional barrel tapping. Musical performances, including from the Musikverein Atzenbach, will accompany the evening and attune the visitors to the celebrations.

A special highlight of the evening will be the appearance of the Italian music formation "J’amis d’Albian", who would like to create the best atmosphere with a group of 15 musicians from 8 p.m. This formation caused enthusiasm at the last Zeller music festival two years ago. Later in the evening the Zeller cult band "Patchwork" will take the stage from 9 p.m.

Saturday is also enriched with a medieval festival that will take place at Latshariplatz in front of the Hotel Löwen. Here guests can enjoy culinary specialties and a rich supporting program. The city administration is rounded off this day by numerous offers from the Zeller clubs, restaurateurs and traders.

On Sunday, July 20, the day begins with an ecumenical service, which is led by the pastors Martin Schick and Martin Rathgeber. The ceremony of the biosphere festival follows at 11:15 a.m., in which government president Carsten Gabbert and district administrator Marion Dammann will take part. This act is designed musically by the city music Zell.

In Schönauer Strasse and on Sparkassenplatz, visitors can expect a specialty market in the Black Forest Biosphere area, which is open until 6 p.m. Almost 20 exhibitors will present regional products and craftsmanship. Various hands -on activities also offer entertainment for the whole family.

In addition, on July 20, a stage program will take place with performances by city music Zell, the music association Gresgen and other groups. This focuses not only to celebrate the anniversary, but also the strengthening of the community, which is promoted by dance and music performances.

The crowning end of the festival weekend takes place on July 21 from 3 p.m. with a craftsman's stalle that presents the diversity of craftsmanship in Zell and at the same time looks back on the celebrations.
