RB Leipzig is looking for a new chef: dream job for gourmets!

RB Leipzig has advertised a new “dream job”. The Bundesliga club is looking for a chef to provide the club staff, new coach Ole Werner and the club's players with fresh, healthy meals. This was announced on the club's website. The position requires completed culinary training and experience in fine dining. An important criterion is discretion, as the chef will also be involved in confidential conversations at the buffet. The meal plan needs to be prepared every two weeks and includes light meals with carbohydrates and proteins, with the pros' favorite dish being pasta with chicken and pesto. The team should prepare up to 380 meals per day.

Special features of the job include the proximity to the players as well as additional benefits such as a “job bike” and access to RB Leipzig home games. Applications should be submitted online via the club homepage and must include a CV and a letter of motivation. There is no salary information in the job advertisement. In addition to the chef, RB Leipzig is also looking for an electrical engineer, a social media manager and mini-jobbers for stadium tours, as [Bild] reports.

Healthy eating in focus

In the world of professional sports, nutrition plays a crucial role. Thomas Linke, nutrition coach for top athletes, recently opened his own restaurant called “Campana” in Leipzig-Gohlis, which specializes in light Mediterranean cuisine. Linke, who worked at the RB training center from 2015 to 2017 and fed the players, knows about the high demands placed on the athletes' nutrition. His diet includes good fats, lots of protein, and no processed sugar or wheat flour. He emphasizes that players who train twice a day need 72 kilocalories per kilogram of body weight and a fluid intake of four liters per day.

Linke remains active as an independent nutrition coach and has, among other things, optimized the menu of Maximilian Arnold, a kicker at VfL Wolfsburg. RB Leipzig has even reserved a table in the “Campana” for the next few days, which shows that the club is also very interested in healthy, performance-enhancing nutrition. Linke's goal is to coach players who have the potential to be successful in the Champions League, as [Tag24] reports.
