A total of twelve jockeys from Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt have registered for race day. Among the participants are six jockeys from Dresden, two from Halle and two from Möser near Magdeburg. There are also two starters from the local Angermann racing team in the competition, which underlines the local flavor of the event.
