Cunnel in Plagwitz: Owners missing-dramatic fire brigade use!

On Tuesday evening, the fire brigade was dramatic in the Macherner district of Plagwitz near Leipzig. Shortly after 7 p.m., the barn of a three -way courtyard collapsed, which led to an immediate search action, since the owner of the property was initially missing. The local defense director David Kolodziej reported an unclear situation regarding the owner, which made the situation even more difficult. The rescue workers faced challenging conditions, since other parts of the building also threatened to collapse.

The search for the owner was difficult, but after about two hours by neighbors and the police could be established by phone. Fortunately, the owner was not in Plagwitz at the time of collapse. After contacting the fire, the fire brigade began to clear the collapse. The mission ended around 10:30 p.m. and was coordinated by fire brigade from Püchau, Machers and Brandis. This is further proof of the tireless use of the rescue workers in the region.

rescue use to construction site

The fire brigade was called far from the events in Plagwitz on Thursday afternoon at the construction site on Richard-Wagner-Straße. A crane driver had severe circulatory problems at a height of 65 meters and was unable to leave his job independently. The height rescue group of the Leipzig fire brigade, a specialized unit based on the fire rescue station 5 in Großzschocher, immediately moved in to save the crane driver.

Arrived above, the height rescuers carried out a first inventory in the patient. After consulting the emergency doctor on the ground, the crane driver was roped with a stretcher and moved to an ambulance where his condition was described as stable. The patient is now thoroughly examined in a hospital. This commitment was not common for the fire brigade, but the comprehensive preparations and training of the height rescuers testify to the professionalism of the emergency services. A total of three vehicles with 20 people were deployed, including five height rescuers who masterfully mastered the situation on site.
