In Paunsdorf, young people were attacked while a man was hit by a tram. Police are looking for witnesses.

There have been two worrying incidents in Paunsdorf, Leipzig in recent days, worrying the local community. Last Friday, around 8:50 p.m., three young people between the ages of 15 and 16 were attacked on Platanenstrasse. Radio Leipzig reported that the perpetrators, a group of four young people between the ages of 12 and 18, threatened the victims with a weapon and forced them to hand over money. The perpetrators then fled with the loot.
The description of the perpetrators is as follows:
- Täter 1: Männlich, 15-18 Jahre, dünn, ca. 1,80 m, Shirt mit Raubkatze, rot/schwarz gestreifte Hose, graue Boxershorts, schwarzer Afro (5-7 cm lang).
- Täter 2: Männlich, 12-14 Jahre, ca. 1,50-1,60 m, schwarz-goldenes Basecap, schwarz-weiße Hose, schwarz-weiße Tüte dabei.
- Täter 3: Männlich, 15-16 Jahre, ca. 1,75-1,80 m, kräftig, blonde kurze Haare (Boxer-Schnitt), grünes Shirt, blaue Jeans mit weißen Applikationen.
- Täter 4: Weiblich, 14-16 Jahre, ca. 1,60-1,70 m, dünn, blonde Haare (etwas über Schulterlänge).
The Leipzig criminal police are asking for information about the incidents and can be reached on 0341 / 966 4 6666.
Attacks at Bogensee
Another incident occurred on Saturday evening in which a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were attacked by an unknown group at the Bogensee lookout point. According to a report by the LVZ The 15-year-old was beaten, while the 16-year-old was followed into Geißblattstrasse and robbed. The perpetrators stole wallets and personal items, although the amount of damage is not yet known.
One of the perpetrators in the group who addressed the young people was described as around 18 years old and around 1.75 meters tall. He had a beard and a vest. The police encourage any witnesses to contact them on 0341 / 966 4 6666.
Accident on Augustusplatz
In addition, an incident on Augustusplatz made headlines: a 51-year-old man was hit by a tram on Tuesday night at around 10:25 p.m. The man tried to cross the tracks and overlooked the approaching train. After the accident he was taken to hospital with injuries. The estimated damage to the tram is around 3,000 euros. Radio Leipzig points out that there were no signs of break-in after an apartment in Markkleeberg was robbed between August 11th and 18th. The burglars stole jewelry and cash worth tens of thousands of euros.
The community is concerned about the recent incidents and hopes the police will quickly receive information to bring those responsible to justice.
