Leipzig celebrates: Impericon Festival with 10,000 fans and new hits!
The Impericon Festival in Leipzig, which is celebrating a special anniversary this year, has developed into one of the most important events for fans of rock and metal music in recent years. Originally launched in 2009 at Plant 2 with around 1,000 visitors, the festival has now reached an impressive size. Today, up to 10,000 music enthusiasts find themselves under one roof since the festival moved to the exhibition hall. This change has given visitor numbers a noticeable boost, reported MDR.
The promoter and organizer Christian Pappenberg expressed his anticipation of the upcoming encounters with the fans and a positive atmosphere that should be noticeable during the event. “I hope there are no emergency calls during the festival,” said Pappenberg. This year the well-known band Heaven Shall Burn will be on stage as the headliner. She is presenting new songs and has set her release date for the Friday of the festival. It promises to be an exciting event.
Diverse festival offer
The Impericon Festival also has numerous attractions in store this year. In addition to the musical performances, there is a karaoke stage and the opportunity to receive free tattoos and piercings. The piercing partner is taking part for the first time this year and is expanding the already varied festival experience. The entrance fee for the festival is around 200 euros and thus offers visitors a comprehensive program.
For visitors in a hurry, remaining tickets are available at the box office for one or both days of the festival. Over 90% of the tickets sold in advance are valid for both days, which underlines the high demand for this event.
Looking into the future
After this year's success, Christian Pappenberg's team is planning to go one step higher next year. More bands and a third stage are already being planned for next year, which increases the anticipation for the Impericon Festival 2026.
