Photo competition in the Leipzig Zoo: Hold your most beautiful animal experience!
Leipzig, Deutschland - The Leipzig zoo shows its creative page with an exciting photo competition during the summer vacation, which is under the motto "My most beautiful zoo experience". Visitors are invited to capture their unforgettable moments in the zoo and submit the best photographs. Animal encounters, fascinating details and memories that leave a lasting impression are sought. Participation is simple: Visitors take a photo during their zoo visit and upload it via a participation form. The weekly raffle enables the participants to win a family day ticket for the Leipzig Zoo, which includes two adults and up to four children up to 16 years. The last holiday week, in which an exclusive backdrop look with an animal keeper discussion is also raffled off, becomes particularly exciting. In order to capture the most beautiful moments, the participants are encouraged to keep their cameras ready and participate. Hitradio RTL reported.
In addition to the photo competition, the zoo will also shine through special events in the coming time. One of the highlights is the event “Discovering Days”, which will take place on June 15 and 16, 2024. Visitors can look forward to the presentation of 18 different types of monkeys, including claw monkeys, great apes and lemurs. The program ranges from backdrops in Pongoland to discovery tours, comments and feeding to quiz actions and handicrafts. Particular attention is paid to the reports of trainees about species protection guiding projects, such as the monkey catchment station in Vietnam. The mascot Tammi will also be on site to entertain the small and large zoo visitors.
animal offspring in the Leipzig zoo
The Leipzig zoo can also look forward to animal offspring. A chimpanzee boy was born on June 4, 2024 in the Pongoland gaze. The male is lovingly cared for by the experienced chimpanzee mother Changa (13) and develops. There are also two new Belarine Nose Bears, who saw the light of day on May 15, 2024. These are looked after in a mother room and can later be seen on the Pantanal facility, while her father, 7-year-old nose bear Carlos, is also a support for the family. Animal magazine reports on such highlights that enrich the visitor experience.
In the walk-in wave parlor oasis, about 50 young birds have already flown out, while others are in their nesting boxes. This gives visitors the opportunity to watch the little birds on their first flight attempts and to enjoy a special animal experience. The Leipzig Zoo not only offers a platform for artistic development by the photo competition, but also exciting insights into the animal family. So visitors can not only take their camera in their hands, but also go on a journey of discovery in the zoo and learn a lot about the different animal species.
