Progress in the park city: three new houses for Leipzig's future!

Dölitz-Dösen, Deutschland - The structural development in the new residential area "Parkstadt Leipzig" continues to take shape. The new apartments are barrier -free and correspond to modern floor plans with sizes between 44 and 95 m². Around half of the residential units are offered rental price -bound to offer access to households with a living permit. In addition, 23 parking spaces were purchased in a neighboring parking garage to meet the traffic requirements of future residents.

The entire project comprises about 14 hectares and provides for the construction of around 600 apartments. Of these, 90 are socially funded. In addition, 350 units are renovated in listed existing buildings and 250 apartments are built in 18 new buildings. These new buildings follow the KfW Efficiency House 55 standard to ensure a high energetic standard.

The Parkstadt Leipzig will not only offer living space, but will also bring comprehensive infrastructural renewal. The neighborhood will include a daycare center and numerous play and leisure areas. With 550 parking spaces and over 1,000 newly planted trees, a green and livable surroundings are created, which also includes a local supplier.

Jörg Keim, the CEO of WBG contact, was positive about working with Instone and sees great potential in the redesign of the “Parkstadt Leipzig”, which should be completed by the end of 2027. The multitude of apartments and the mix of funded and free living space should be tailored to the needs of the Leipzig population.
