Traffic accidents and injuries

A tragic traffic accident occurred on June 18th in Leipzig-Gohlis when a 9-year-old child was hit by a 68-year-old driver. The child apparently wasn't paying attention to the traffic and ran onto the road. It required hospital treatment, but no damage was found to the vehicle. The administrative offense proceedings were not initiated.

Another serious traffic accident took place in Bad Lausick, in which a 35-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after she left the road without any outside influence and collided with a tree. Here, too, the state road had to be closed for several hours.

The 68-year-old driver, who had a blood alcohol level of over 1.8 and was under the influence of medication, collided with a concrete barrier.
